Join the Canajoharie Library and the Palatine Literary Society for a discussion of the book Serena by Ron Rash.

Traveling to the mountains of 1929 North Carolina to forge a timber business with her new husband, Serena Pemberton champions her mastery of harsh natural and working conditions but turns murderous when she learns she cannot bear children. A beautifully written gothic novel, Rash paints an unforgettable portrait of a truly frightening woman. Facilitated by the Palatine Literary Society. Copies of the book are available at the library desk.

Want to learn how to get started with Overdrive ebooks? Join us for two free Overdrive demos on January 24, or February 21 at 6:00pm. Learn how to download ebooks onto different portable devices including Nooks, Kindles, ipads, and more. Bring in your tablet or ereader if you have specific questions.

 

 


Nook Simple TouchStarting in mid-February we will have a Nook SimpleTouch ereader loaded with ebooks for you to borrow with your library card. The Nook can be checked-out for two weeks and is pre-loaded with new bestsellers for adults and teens. Each week we add one additional book to the Nook. Nook must be returned to the Canajoharie Library front desk if borrowed, not put in the book drop (for safety.)Check it out, read a book, or two and let us know what you think.
